Has anyone here tried the Doctor Optics Red Dot Sight???

Thinking about one for a Brand new Glock 17L I just bought. Dont really want to go the regular iron sight route. The gun will just be a range gun fun gun.

So these look cool and its a red dot without having to do the whole frame mounted rail above the slide thingy.

How did it work? Is it worth it? What do you recommend?

Any advice info will be very much appreciated.

If you are interested in going to a red dot system they are probably the simplest way to go. Either the Dr Dot or the JP seems to work very well, both are reliable and durable, and are getting more popular everyday. Last year I didn't install any of them, this year I have done 8 of them so far on full house custom competition guns.

On the Glock them can either be mounted on an adaptor using the stok dovetail or low mounted into the slide.

I agree with the tiny FOV problem.  I have one on my AR at the moment and because I can index with a good cheek weld it works well for a should fired weapon.  For a pistol... I will pass.
