Handgun purchase question....?

I'm more than likely purchasing a handgun off of a friend who is over the age 21. I am only 19 so my father will be the one who the firearm is actually getting transferred to. I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to PA's handgun laws because I haven't really ventured into this aspect of firearm ownership quite yet. Does anyone know if my friend and my dad will be able to go into the store and transfer the handgun, or is there a waiting period in PA? Hey thanks for any help. If anyone is interested in knowing what it is it's an older Ruger Blackhawk in .357. Getting it for a decent price and actually it is one of the few handguns I've shot that I can hit anything with. I usually shoot pretty poorly but with that thing I can hit a coffee can over and over.

I don't know anything about PA laws...

But, if you wanted you could go PTP and avoid having to pay a (-$20+) FFL transfer fee.

Pennsylvania State Firearms Laws
Concealed Carry Pennsylvania is a "shall issue" state. Practically all non-felons have a right to carry concealed weapons with a license without showing need.
Brady Law
Purchase Limitations Pennsylvania has no purchase limitations.
Licensing
Minors 18 is the minimum age to possess a handgun or a long gun, however, it is legal for persons of any age to possess if acompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or adult with the express consent of a parent or guardian and for use in hunting, target shooting, or other lawful purpose.
Preemption
Gun Storage There is no Child Access Prevention (CAP) or safe storage laws in the state.
Waiting Period There is a Brady 5 day waiting period. The 5 day wait, however, does not apply to transfer of handguns to valid CCW licensees issued within last 5 years.
