Found this and thought I'd pass it along:
www.midwesttraininggroup.net/Tips/get_a_grip.htmThe "proper-size-for-alignment-with-forearm" thingie has become more of an issue with me after having made a permanent change from single-stack 1911 to double-stack wondernine, for which I am hopefully finally settling on the Beretta Vertec as about the only one that fits me correctly. I realize my hands may be smaller than "average" (whatever that is....), but I also think that a lot of people are not aware of this consideration. Nobody should be having to reach around the side of the gun to get to the trigger.
I'm less sure about the "squeeze-the-life-out-of-it" philosophy, although I concede his point about real-life mega-stress effects. Hopefully training intensively with the methods that actually work best will condition one to act instinctively when/if the moment of truth arrives.....
...which for any of us here I hope never will.
