Does anyone have a lot of experience with suppressors?  I was planning to buy a gem-tech sos-45 but I haven't really been able to ascertain whether the thing will work on my gun.  I was planning on putting it on either a Glock 36 or a Colt Tactical Officer's Lightweight (basically an officer's slide, commander frame).  I called Dater but he couldnt tell me whether the can would cycle on either of these compacts.  They have a recoil 'thing' that is supposed to help if the gun won't cycle, but they aren't in production yet and he couldnt give me any kind of date as to when they would be.  I would really like to put it on the colt, but if it won't cycle, then i will probably pass... anyone done anything like this?

Well, I just plunked down the cash for the SOS-45.  I'm going to try it on the Officer's.  If it doesn't work, I'll either buy a full size 1911 or maybe put a mech tech conversion on the officer's... if anyone is interested, i'll give you an update in 5 to 6 months.
