Howdy all,

I am curious about the Kahr P9 for concealed carry.  I had a Kahr K9 back when they were first released (1995?) and it was a nightmare experience.  How are they today?  The polymer framed version of the gun is tempting me, but as the proverb says:
A once scalded cat is even afraid of cold water.

Thanks,
Cheese

I have the PM9...which is the same gun made even smaller.  I have had no problems at all.  I carry it almost daily.

I carry the PM9 daily and have shot well over 5000 rounds through it...no problems. I was part of the recall and sent it in...no differance in performance when it came back. When I had it in I sent the slide as well and had night sights installed. They are GREAT! I trust mine for daily carry in business dress attire. It is small and no footprints found from any of the co-workers. I use a Blade-Tech Kydex Ultimate concealment holster. I am very happy and never thought I would replace my Glock 17 for carry...but I have. I enjoy shooting them both a great deal.

I have a K40 Covert that is very accurate, 100% reliable, and quite a handful with 180gr GD's.

I have a MK9.
Problem free so far, it is a handful with +P rounds though.

Thanks for the responses.  I will give Kahr another chance.

I have been carrying a PM9 since they came out.  No problems.  I just upgraded to a PM40.  I like it even better.  Watch-Six

Ever since I shot one the PM9 has been high on my "want" list.  I have never seen a pocket auto shoot so well.

My P40 is my daily carrier. It is small, light and very reliable. The long feed ramp is one of the keys to it's reliability. It is not as exciting as my 1911 but down here in S. Florida we live in shorts and  t-shirts. The compact Kahrs work great with an in the waistband holster.
