Beretta is still the issue sidearm of most of the armed forces. Certain units are using other weapons, but then again they always have.

I think Beretta contract has already been filed.  I think the military has received all the Berettas they're going to get.  I may be wrong.  IIRC the military buys parts for M9 as well as mags from outside vendors.
