The answers might well surprise you, which do you think and why?

This has to be a trick question.

I'll stick with what I know.....38spcl wadcutter and .45ACP

.32 acp. Or .32 anything really, I'm not sure why but every 32 cal handgun I've ever shot was extremely accurate.

Anything designed around bullseye shooting where the accuracy demands are high:
32 s&W long wadcutters
38 special wadcutters
45 auto match

I'll say 45acp.

Question is fail....

People are the cause of not hitting the X 99% of the time.
Lighter recoil helps....People. Shoot better (more Accurate)

You think you can shoot..take what you think is in-accurate and lock it down in a Ransom Rest and shoot a target. Let us know how you did ?

I have found .38 super, 9 x 23, .357 sig and 10mm to be very accurate.

Caliber?

I'd say that, for accuracy, it's-

shooter >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> firearm >>> quality of the ammunition >>>>>>>>>>>>> caliber.

In my personal experience, the guys that are saying bullseye calibers have it right.

32 S&W long
.38 Special
.45 acp

It might just be that much more effort has been put into loading and tinkering with those rounds to achieve the best accuracy, but does that really make a difference?

Remove the shooter from the equation, and then assume firearms of equal mechanics. Same model, same action, same mods, worked over by the same gunsmith with the same number of rounds.

Then loads loaded by the same person with components from the same company.

Few would answer .32 ACP or .32 S&W Long but its likely that they are  the most inherently accurate of all centerfire handgun cartridges.

The fact that .32 ACP is such a superbly accurate caliber out to 50 yards surprises most people.

Instead of your opinion. I was actually looking into being enlightened by information that some recognized outfit may have conducted. Comparisons? Conditions? Effect bullet weights? Instead again it's a link to a company's guns. No stats there. Just doing what any other company would try and do. Sell their product. I'm just going to assume you're medicated to some degree and know there is no useful information to be preened here.

Some of the most acknowledged, finest precision shooting competition pistols come in .32 S&W Long wadcutter but I had no idea that they also came in .32ACP for 50 yard bullseye competition.

.32 H&R is an extremely accurate cartridge as well.

I'm a pretty accurate shot and I'm going to look into picking up a .32 target pistol of some sort for bullseye for the challenge of it.

I'm only now beginning to educate myself on that type of pistol.
