As long as this forum is so slow, I'll throw in one more plug for Dan Wesson firearms.  The company is well known for their revolvers and are now in the 1911 game.

Delmarksman bought one and is very happy, and Waverunner has one ordered so we will here from him eventually.  DW is new to 1911s and needs some exposure.  I mentioned they should be considered for a 1911 LEGP, and maybe Anti and Grin can make it over to their booth at the 2002 SHOT show.

Check them out.  What's different about this 1911?

Yeah, wierd was working earlier.  I'll fix it.

I think Delmarksman paid $425 for his point man minor, the entry level.  The majors are $700 and up I think.  The one I posted does have an external extractor, it is not typical of their products.  The NYS IDPA 2000 championship was won with the pointman model seven.

Time will tell, but DW really feels that the future is bright for their autos.  They got a glowing review in Combat Handguns Sept 2001 issue.
