So I'm starting to look at a pistol for concelead carry. What do you guys suggest? I'm tall, rather thin, and light weight. I'm leaning towards a Sig P226 in .357 or HK USP Tac (I like .45s, but think a full size 1911 would be too big).

Thanks

You might want to look at the P225 for a small easy to conceal package. The P220 is in the same size range as the P226 and the 220 comes in .45acp. My favorite

SiG 245 would be a good choice. Small, compact and 45acp.

Look at Ultra compact 1911's

Springfield Ultracompact V-10 is my choice.

a HK Tac bigger than a full size 1911?  maybe bigger but on the Tac you have the big front site... SNAG CITY  .02

I'd rather carry a 1911 than a 226 or full-sized USP.  These things may not be quite as heavy as a 1911 but they are huge... like wearing a brick on your belt.

I'd recommend a Commander-sized 1911 with aluminum frame and 8-round mag.  Slimmer and more mag capacity than the SIG P245.  Maybe an Officer's -sized 1911 if the Commander's too big.

Quoted:After carrying a Sig P229 and H&K USPC I now carry a truly concealed weapon, Kimber Ultra Carry II.

There's a thread going on pistolsmith.com about a defect regarding the safety plunger in the Kimber Series II guns.  If you're carrying this gun as a concealed weapon, I'd look into the matter ASAP.

I have recently bought one of the Kimber Ultra CDP series 2 - 45's. I have put about 150 rds through it with no problems! Love this gun!     Of course I heard of the problems after I got the gun. The gun shop has heard of the problems also but none of the Ultra CDP's have come back with problems.

I'm with Aimless on this. I carry a Glock 36 in a Sidearmor IWB holster.
