Drift punch, allen keys and maybe a small vise with soft jaws or block of wood any decent gunshop |

Anyway I want to put targets on my full size springfield from novaks and then put the novaks on my older ultra compact springfield. |

Make sure you match the sights you want to buy with the same angle dovetail, and same width dovetail that your original slghts have. If not, you will have to take the gun to a gunsmith to have the new sight cuts made. Then you also have to refinish the gun.
You should be able to buy drop-in sights for whatever model 1911 you have. Best of luck, Doug. |

You will need to buy an adjustable rear that fits the Novak sight cut. A quick thumb through the Brownell's catalog shows you might be out of luck, I didn't see anything that would look like it'd work.
Still, someone somewhere is bound to be making sights that will fit, even if it's Novak himself. For the front sight, it should be fairly easy if it's dovetailed. However, you will need to determine what size the dovetail is and get a matching front sight. Personally I would be inclined to leave the front in place, if you're getting an adjustable rear you will probably be able to compensate for any difference in height. Honestly though, I would suggest having a reputable gunsmith do it. |

I believe Springfield sells an adj. sight for the Novak cut. Not for sure though.
