Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone sent their slide to Novak for slide cuts?

I have been looking at getting a Novak tritium front and a Novak white dot rear sight installed on my 1911, and was wondering if anyone had used the Novak service where you send in your slide and they cut it for you and install the sights to boot?

There aren't really any places I would trust around here to do the work, unless someone can recommend a smith in northern Illinois for 1911 work(?)

Yes...many times. Fast. Under a week in most cases. Perfect work too.

I had a hi power completely redone by Novak.  They do great work, but in my case it was really slow.  Just having the slide cut for sights might not take long.

Their website says $120 + shipping and the cost of the sights.

Novak's rocks!!!  Did a drop dead gorgeous installation of night sights on my Mk III.
