I'd sooner get the P30.

I don't believe the Mk25/P226 is a bad gun, but it's just preference to me.

That is what you sound like DanTSX

I had the P226 Elite and was not impressed (worst DA trigger, extremely heavy and gritty), also the gun is far heavier then it needs to be. Go with the HK P30.

If I had to pick, I would get a 226.  Seriously OP, if you get a chance, handle one of the new E2 gripped guns, it feels better in my hand than even the P30.

Plus you can get a .22 kit and work on the whole DA/SA transition for cheap.
