Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need an appraisal!!!

I have a friend who needs to know what a handgun is worth.  I have not seen it but have a general description:

Walther PPKS .380

This is an old piece, the seller says this to stress the fact that it is German made.  Has original box & papers.  Is in unfired condition, but this is not "verified" as I have not actually seen it yet.

I am not an expert on Walthers so, if the brief info I've given seems wierd, please let me know.  Also, please tell me what a fair price for this is!  I will post the asking price later to make everyone cry...

I don't have my library handy so this is an off-the-cuff guess.  Somewhere in the $350-400 range is not unreasonable for a Walther in VG to excellent condition.  If it truly is unfired, with box & accessories it might be closer to the $450-500 range.

I'd guess in really good shape and a real german gun, a little higher $ 550+ But I'm not a big Walther fan.
