I thought I should bounce on over here and stink up the place!

OK, here's a question for my first handgun.ar15.com post:

I currently own a Sig P229/.40.  I previously owned a Sig P220 which I traded towards the 229 back in the day when I was stupid and had little money...

Anyway, I really miss the 220 since I loved it so much (my very first shot ever fired out of the box perfectly nailed the X in the X-ring at 25 yds drawing the entire shooting line down to oogle it, with of course no mention of the amazing amount of luck involved).  However, I also want to get a 1911, nothing fancy or hugely expensive, just a 1911.  I am leaning about 80% towards getting the 220 first.  What do you all think?

220 first, of course.  Then you can pick out your 1911 style .45 at your leisure.

Empty your pockets, count your money and you may not have to toss a coin. I wouldnt want to make that choice. You seemed to have already made it. Remember the 80% rule? I dont either. Glad to help out. I'm sure you will get more feedback on the pros and cons. Welcome over here too, btw, FM! I will now remove the clothespin...

Whats up
glade to see you over here.
The only hand guns I have that I can shoot like that are my Glock 26 and my Kimber Compact .40

Hey FM,

Let me put it this way:

You WANT the P220 and you'd like to get a 911. So where's the dilemma. Start with the SIG and than maybe after many, many, years you might ponder of to a 911.

So welcome aboard and join Team SIG on Handguns.AR15Com.

P220 are harder to find, go figure! I like them both, but am in the same group of people who had a brain fart and lost it in a trade. Own several 1911's, wish I had a P220.
