Since they came out with the M3X and M6X series, which is rated for much harder use and greater weather resistance than the M3 and M6, respectively, does anyone here even entertain the idea of buying the M3 or M6?

I bought the m3 a few years back.  I like it, and attached to my glock 21 I love the combo.  If you want a good light you can't go wrong.  I do not have much experience with the new led ones but I heard they are better.

i've had a few M3s. great lights. I keep an m3 on my G19 next to where i sleep. The X models look nice but a little to costly IMO.

My bad, I went to the website and it said $149 or something.

My first light was the M3. It served me well on my duty gun for awhile. My only complaint about it was the recoil of the gun would turn the rocker switch off and the light would go out. I've since upgraded to Surefire's X-200. I think it's better built and still fits in my holster. My M-3 is on my home defense weapon.
