I dont have a pic or the actual name, although I believe it was a auto ordinance contraption, it was chambered in .22 LR and looked like a spinoff of a chinese broomhandle gun, really ugly.  Anybody got a idea what Im talking about and if it would be worth buying to shoot cans and squirrels in the backyard?

ANY working gun is worth 40$

You spend $40, you get $40.

I like my hands to not be horribly mangled, so I would put a big HELL NO sticker on that one.

instead of shooting cans with the gun, how about shooting the gun with other guns? It is about all its worth.

Here it is in all its glory, $40 of Charter Arms engineering.  Supposedly it has feed problems, I checked the mags and the boltface, everything lines up, so Im probably gonna send it in to the factory if I cant get it to work tomorrow.

Dude.  If anything, dress it up to look like Han Solo's blaster.

I would have bought it for $40.

Haha, I remember seeing one like that online last night when I was looking up the gun.

I had one of those when I was young. (16ish) was lots o fun for plinking.

I guess today I would be arrested, my parents jailed, house burned down and dog shot for that.

It probably needs the AR-7 tune-up. Lightly chamfer the lower edge of the chamber. Just enough to break the edge. They usually jam the bullet nose on that edge.

Something deep inside of me wants a good whorehouse gun. Either a Raven .25 or a cheap .32 revolver, nickel plated with mother of pearl grips, of course.

I used to shoot the rifle version when I was a kid.  It did have feeding problems over time but it was a good gun.

I read about that, Im gonna take a jeweler file and some 1000 grit sand paper to it in the morning and see if I cant make it work right.  Ill post if everything goes as planned.  I found some 25 round mags for it but they want over $125 for them, thats more than three times what I paid for the gun.

I used to have one at one time. I liked it. At the time you could get Ramline 25 rd. mags for AR-7s and I'd load a few of them up and just blast away. It may not seem like much now, but back then, that was LIVING!!

Any chance you still have some of those 25 rounders laying around?

Most of those Charter Arms survival rifles only work w/ really hot 22 ammo. That cheap dirty stuff just doesn't do it. I've seen enough customers bring em back to the gunshop to know this.

I guess that would make subsonic out of the question.
