I fitted the thumb safety, grip safety, and beveled the magwell myself, as well as dehorning the rear sights. I had everything checked out by a smith and he said I was good to go. It just needs a trigger job and a new barrel link.

This was my late father's gun and has been my favorite since I started shooting, yes I learned how to shoot with a .45 and worked my way down :cool:

Nicely done.

You need to cut it out, though. I don't currently have a 1911 in the arsenal and you're going to make me spend money.
