I just bought a box of Hornady XTP 180 gr in .44. I'm using WW 296 but can't find load data for anything under 200gr.  This load is for whitetail.  Can someone direct me to some published data?  thanks.

Hornady's manual lists the bullet, but not your powder.

Lyman's manual has a Sierra 180gr JSP at 1.61 COAL, and a starting load of 29gr with 296. Max load is listed at 30gr.

I found this but nothing for 180 gr with WW 296.  I've been reading that WW296 and H110 are the same data.  Is this true?

I don't use either, since I prefer 2400, but here's a good discussion on it.

(Side note: if you see the mention of St Marks Powder in there, that's about 3 miles down the road from my home. No free powder for locals, though.)

That was good Vanila, thanks.  It also addressed the consequences of downloading 296 which I never fully understood until now.

Yes, WW296 and H110 are the same...

I read once that H110 and W296 are the same powder made by the same company, just marketed by Hodgdon and Winchester. Just because I read that doesn't mean it's true.

This is the win296/h110 data from the hodgdon data center.  They have a lot good data for their powders on there.

Thanks TeeRex.  I called Winchester today and they gave me this exact data. I also called Hornady and their range was 29.0 to 30.0.  Mag primer and heavy roll crimp.   I need a new manual.  Mine is probably 16 years old!
