Hey guys,

Last fall, I was considering buying a used Hi Power and received a lot of advice and answers from you all before I eventually purchased it.  I'm very happy with it - it's a great, classic pistol.

I still would love to know what the markings on my pistol mean - I believe it's an imported former military or police pistol.  I uploaded some cropping from the above image that hopefully someone might recognize:

The stamp on the slide in the second photo looks like a "T" with an asterisk over it - it didn't come out well in the photo.

If anyone can point me towards some information on the history of this pistol, I would be very grateful.

 Looks like a standard Argentine Military HP. What markings does the slide have?

Aside from the "T" stamp, the only other markings on the slide are "F.N.Browning" - here's a picture of the other side:

Most of the Hi Powers I've seen at least said "Hi Power" on them somewhere, so I thought this was unusual, but then I'm not familiar with Argentine Brownings.  Have you see this kind of simple marking before?

 Looks like you have one of the commercial Argentines that came in a few years ago. I have one myself that'll I'll have to dig out to compare.
