Has anyone tried one yet?

I bought a slide w/barrel and mounted it on my own BHP frame. It is a little more compact, but the new setup really toasts the trigger finger. Does anyone else have this problem?

What do you mean, toasts the finger?

It feels like hot gases from the bullet firing come down through the trigger gap in the frame.

I think I have heard of a similar problem in the H&K squeeze cockers. A friend of mine thinks it is due to the shorter barrel and unburned powder.

Never heard that for a H&K although they do get hot simply from bbl heat. I think you're correct in your theory on escaping gases. Perhaps a cotton ball would be enough to stop the gas & not interfere with the trigger area?
