after my KB i was SERIOUSLY considering dumping this gun. Through a virtual ton of emails back and forth with the good folks at keltec i decided to give it another try. i am glad i have.

this gun is just pure fun to shoot.

light recoil
accurate
low maintenace.

while i still have a bit of a flinch when i shoot it that is slowly begining to subside. A few observations on the replacement.

the forarm is a must have for me. not so much for the rail but to keep my dumbass from grabing a hot barrell.

the Keltec break is effective but throws an ungodly fireball about 2-3feet out the side of the muzzell <this didn't help my flinch much I replaced it with an a2 flash hider and the flash is still big but not as noticeable to the shooter

i will be pruchasing the single point sling adapter as soon as it's available. this will make one hell of a good trail gun.

between the original and the replacement i have about 200 rounds through the gun. not counting the KB <ammo failure> i have not had one singe feed or extraction issue, the last 150 rounds was with barual <monarch> crap ammo and i really expected a few failures. <it was the only .223 the store had>

overall at this point i am pleased with the gun and glad the good folks at kel-tec talked me into giving it another try.

As for kel-tec, i have never in 15years of dealing with gun makers and ffls dealt with a more pleasent and accomodating company. they have me as a customer for life.

which sight it that and how do you like it on the plr?

no they have a rib on the sides that fit into a notch in the plr but prevent them from going into an ar lower. but then again who the hell is gonna use a 10 round mag on this or their ar

non chrome lined and 5.56 chamber according to the barrell markings. that is correct as i recall in my emails with keltec.

well to be fair, mine has been replaced. the first one had a case seperation and disentigrated.

kel-tec was fantastic about the issue and replaced the gun no questions asked.

as for practical, i guess that depends on why you want it. i was looking for a fun gun. personally if i wanted a carbine i'd carry the ar15.

yes it was ammo related. not only did they replace it without any other concern than for my well being... they did it in about 4 days or so. Kel-tec without a doubt has the best customer service in the industry.

back to practicality, if you backpack or hike this makes an excellent pack gun. small,light and will handle just about any field need you toss at it.

the handguards have one polymer rail on the bottom.

i have tried "shooting from the hip" with the handguard and frankly it much more comfortable to hold 2 hand in a normal pistol stance and shoot. there is a support cast into the frame just in front of the magwell that would make that kind of grip fairly uncomfortable.

i can hold about a 4-6" group at 100 with mine benched with the irons. I have to say adjusting that rear sight is a PIA but it works and once set it stays.

i am waiting for the single point sling attachment to come out.

just out of curiosity what is the tax and process for an AOW?
