I just got my CCW license and im looking around for a carry piece. I like the CZ P-01 a lot. Does anyone use a P-01 for CCW, or would you recommend something else?

When I am just doing stuff at night in the neighborhood--trash, mail, etc--I will tuck my compact into my belt and it basically can't be seen.  But I don't know how well that would work if I didn't have a sweatshirt on.  I think that they are a great size for winter carry.

The P01 is a fantastic carry pistol. I can think of some I like as much but none I like better and none more comfortable to my hand.

I CCW my 75 Compact occasionally.  I use a Sparks VMII and it's very comfortable.

I use the P-01 in a HBE holster as my promary CCW.  If I don't have teh P-01, then I'm carrying my .40 RAMI.

Fishpaw,

I carry a P-01 quite often for CCW, carried in a C-TAC. It's a great gun for concealed carry:

I like the Rami, but from what I know, night sights are unavailable for them; that's a deal-killer for me. When I can't carry the P-01, I either carry a Kahr MK9 or a Keltec P3AT.

By the way - how did you get a CCW license in New Jersey?

I got a Florida CCW. Its not good in NJ (where I live) or NY (where I work) , but it is good in PA, where I am a few times a week. Its better than nothing, and if the little lady and I move to PA (fingers crossed), Ill just get a PA CCW, but at least Ill have some experience and knowledge about CCW.

I carry my CZ97 quite often during the cooler months when I know I'll be wearing bulky clothes and/or cover garments and coats.  In fact, to help myself get over 'printitis' when I first started carrying, I wore the 97 OWB under a T-Shirt.  Probably printed like crazy, but helped me get over that feeling of 'EVERYONE CAN SEE IT!'

A friend has several CZ's:  RAMI, CZ75B, 97B, 85 Compact .40.  He plans on carrying the RAMI mostly, but has holsters for the others.

The RAMI is a very good choice, and I was going to get one before I started switching from .40 to .45ACP.  Now, if they had a 45ACP RAMI, I'd be all over that!  The P-01 and PCR are also very good CCW choices, I know several people that carry them.
