Are there any sources for cheaper 40B magazines than the $35 CZ charges?  Do any other CZ mags fit the B model?

Yes sir. Go to Arizona gun runners and order some 12rd .40 mags for the CZ75 in .40 they work well with my 75B and 40B they just do not have the thick plastic base but fit properly and flush. Get the Mecgars and they are $20 a piece. For more info on the .40B check out CZ forums.
