See if you can order one with the Matthew Mink specs. He's one of their factory shooters and a regular my former home range. Great gun. Even better with his spec springs.

they are excellent. i know nothing about the spec mentioned by dusty but for general blasting/home defense the standard model will be just fine. from personal experience i would also suggest you have him look at the ruger p series. they are ugly but impossible to make jam or hiccup.

I discovered CZ's about a year ago and have put thousands of rounds through my four since. They are excellent pistols.

ETA Matt Mink has lighter springs in his guns. They run like a champ. That man is a machine. Truely amazing to watch in action. |

I like mine. I had a few problems during the first 200 rounds or so. Can't remember whether they were FTF or FTE.
Runs fine now, though. But as nice as CZs are, I like Browning Hi Powers more. They are fine looking, nice handling, and reliable.

I have CZ 75B's in both 9mm and .40 S&W chamberings.
The .40s are a bit undersprung, and frequently need a Wolff extractor spring to run consistantly. The .40's are essentialy 85B's as they come with AMBI safety. The 9mms have no such issues that I am aware of with the 9's. I have the Wolff spring set i my .40, and it cured it's ills. CZ triggers tend to "shoot in" and smooth up after 500-1000 rds. I am hard pressed to find a better value in a quality pistol these days. DaddyDett |

I have owned and shot many pistols over the years, but I must say my 75B has always been here, and will not leave. I love this pistol. It shoots darn well, eats whatever I feed it, and it points very well for me.

I have owned Sig, Glock, Beretta, Ruger, SA 1911, SA XD, Smith and Wesson, HK, EAA and Steyr. CZs are my favorite pistol hands down. I have a .40 75B and I love it and my P01 is the most comfortable pistol I have ever held. Accurate, reliable and affordable.

I currently own four 9mms; a Sig 226, Glock 18, Keltec and a CZ75B. If I could only have one it would be the CZ75B.

I've had a pre-B CZ75 for years and love it. Compared to a Glock, Berrata 92 or even the fine Hi-Power, it would be my first choice for a 9mm SHTF weapon.

I love my 75B. It's one of my "never sell" guns. I am trying to sell my 75 Compact, but the 75B will likely never leave my possession voluntarily. When I got mine CZ was still so underrated it was pathetic. Fortunately that meant sweet deals. They've developed a following now though, and the prices reflect it. Still a LOT of gun for the money. Maybe the BEST bang for the buck still available in 9mm...

One of the best "Browning-action" clones out there. And for the money, it would be very hard to beat. IMHO, one of the best stock triggers for a 9mm out of the box. Two in the safe, with 3500 rnds through the CZ75SA and almost 2500 through the 75B. Looking to add a CZ85B in bitone soon.

I like my CZ75B so much, now that I sold my 1911 to a friend, when I pony up cash for a .45, I'll probably get a 97B!
