Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Sabre Defence Sphinx pistols... why so much $$$$$

Okay,

I've seen it in the catalog several times, haven't been able to hold one yet, but it looks like nothing more than a CZ design with an integral light rail and a full length dust cover.  The new import from Armalite is advertising that everything is milled from solid bar steel and it's still only running 650 or so from the advertisements and promotional stuff.

Anyone have any experience or information on the Sphinx and what makes it worth so much?

Anyone know of anyone who actually owns one?

It's milled from bar stock in Switzerland.  Swiss products = expensive!
