Ok guy's I know I can sweat a little, but this just doesn't seem right. I bought a Kahr CW40 literally a week ago and was excited to get something a touch smaller than my G23 I usually carry. I have been happy so far after the two days I have carried it. I just today had a chance to try it out and send a few rounds down range to start to break it in. I was pleasantly surprised when I shot several six round groups measuring roughly 2" from 21 feet. That's good enough for a carry piece for me and shooting mostly offhand. I still need to send some more rounds down range to break it in.

Now the original point of my post. I've only carried this for less than two full days and I noticed today that the mag release is really starting to rust up on me. This is a concealed carry piece and knowing Kahr's reputation I'm a bit shocked at this. I will be contacting KAHR tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

Forgive the blur, but I was having a hard time focusing in macro mode on the mag release. it wanted to focus on the trigger.

I e-mailed Kahr, but haven't called them yet. If it's easy to remove the mag release I may just molly coat, but a brand new carry gun shouldn't be doing this.

I've e-mailed them and they have yet to reply. It's time for a call.

Well when I got home today a small package was waiting for me which contained another blued mag release. We'll see how it works.

I was contacted by another member who has a stainless mag release that I'm going to put in. I do think it''' look a bit sharper as well. I'm interested in if this is happening to more people than have posted so far.
