A local gun range (H&H OKC very nice) sells k-9 mags for about $36.00, which is a bit cheaper than Kahr's website. does anyone know about any place cheaper? Has anyone had any luck with any after market mags?

Be wary of ProMag after market mags with polymer frame Kahrs.   The profile of the camming surface over which the magazine catch rides is very abrupt on the Promags compared to the angle on the factory mags--and the polymer frames use a small piece of steel inset in polymer for the catch.  I sheared one off with a quick mag change with a Promag.  They work fine in steel frame guns that have all steel catches, and have the virtue of being a lot cheaper.

I finally solved the "need more mags" problem by...buying more Kahrs!
