Ok, I had to trade my Springfield OD but....................this baby has a 3.5 lb trigger pull from the factory. Never had a Springy with this light a pull.
Night sights, changed the Packmire Signature grips for the Gunner Grips and added some skate board tape. I'll let you know the POI vs the POA Sunday since the sights aren't adjustable. The Surefire X200 is a diode but..........that sucker puts out some lumens. I'm surprised. SF says 60 lumens and I beleive it. Anyway here goes............. Lumpy what do you think??????????    Notice you don't need an Allen wrench to disasemble.

OK guys, I've added real pics.
I haven't called Springfield yet but what does MC stand for? I hope it not Marine Corp since I'm an Army guy that had to soften the enemy up before they called in the Marines.

That is sweet as can be! I found one that has the full frame shroud, but not the bull barrel and it is parkerized. Most I have seen are the armory koted types like yours. I am giving some thought to this parkerized model though. Any one have any input on the full hooded parkerized version for me. Again congrats man, that is awesome!

What are your reasons to go with the parkarized over the Armory Coat? I've found the Armory Coat wears better and is easier to clean. Springfield still carries the TRP Operator with the full shroud. It's about $500.00 more but is suppose to be more accurized. |

Price I guess. The parkerized one with the full shroud using the bushing instead of the bull barrel was $799.00, so when I saw the armory coated ones for $1200.00+. I thought that the price difference was significant. Am I missing something? I am just learning about the ones SA is offering with the light rail as I wanted one for around the house when things go bump in the night. How many SA mods are there with the light rail any way? Is the Operator the sames as a TRP Operator or do they do a little more accurizing work on them? I shoot Les Baer primarily so anything you can tell me is helpful.

There's the Operator as you discribed above and the TRP Operator that's a lot more accurizied, then the short shroud MC Operator like I have. To try to answer questions for SA, I would say see their web site and call them. www.springfield-armory.com |

Hey Operator lovers!
In a couple of days I'll have a couple of pictures posted of the US Marshal Service Operator. My PD is hosting a class with Duane Dwyer as the head of operations and one guy in his crew is a Marshal and we were comparing my TRP Operator to his Custom Shop Operator issued to him by the service. |

Nice pistol Rambosky! I removed the FLGR from my OD loaded, and replaced it with a USGI unit. I also replaced the crap ILS MS housing with an Ed Brown wedge. Might add some skateboard tape

Sorry to inform you the MC does stand for Marine Corps. That is a copy of a USMC pistol desinged and designated for use ny spec ops.. I belive the Marines call it the MEU(SOC).. "Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Special Operations Capable" It is built to spec on surplus issue 1911A1s, using modern commercial parts.. The Pachmyer grips you swaped out are spec for the MEUsoc.. But the light rail is a added unit t the MEU, it is attached via screws to the old surplus frames.. |

Get the operator. I picked mine up on Sat. and am happy I got it. I have been putting off getting a 1911 for so long simply cause I couldn't pick one. I am very satisfied with my decision.

Blade-Tec has a model on their web site that has a holster that will accomadate a 1911w/ rail and a X200 SF light. I need to call them and make sure the Springy Op will work.

Where did you pick it up from? Price?Which SureFire model is that? Surefire only lists the X200 for the Springfields, but obviously, the one you have fits (is it a tight fit?) |

its a Surefire P111...but a P101 would fit better because it doesnt have the grip switch to relocate. I had to relocate the switch down 1/4", cutting and soldering....little bit of work on the milling machine on the latch too. But in the end after all is said and done- its perfectly flawless and looks like a factory job and performs very well. |
