Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - XD interchangeable barrels

For my next gun purchase I was thinking about the XD40.  Is the XD capable of swapping a 357 barrel without any problems?  I own a sig 226 in 40 and can simply swap out the barrel with my 357.  Does the XD have this feature?

I think you can but finding the .357 sig barrel would be the hardest part.  Call Springfield and see if they will sell you one.

Hey Yankee, me again! Were gonna just have to get together! I have two XD's one is a compact 9mm and the other a .40 cal! I'd be happy to let you try them out if you like, just let me know!

Yes, and you can get 357 sig barrels from Barsto.
