In case anyone didn't know yet, Springfield Armory is the only major gun mfgr that still uses a two-piece barrel in their guns. Is it inferior?
Brownells sells NIB SA barrels for $65 or so. I think that's about as cheap as Brownells sells a NIB barrel for.
After I had my barrel replaced in my SA, my groupd dropped to half or better than what they were before.

Yes.
I keep saying I'm going to get a Wilson bbl. for mine.  It's accurate enough for a defense pistol, though.
