Put my girl's 6v Glock light on my XD45acp. Bright as hell, bulky, and I love it.

Uh dude, the light is mounted on a rail, on the factory holster, not the gun.

What is the purpose of that rail? What good is a light ion a holster?? Strikes me a little odd design. |

row, I'm not sure, other than the fact that the pistol won't fit in the holster with the light on it. I do know that alot of LEO's carry their lights on the duty belt rather than the gun. So apparently some do prefer the light off of the gun. I personally carry my G17 with the light mounted on the gun, in a Fobus Tactical Speed holster. Most of the holsters that allow the light to stay on the gun are $100+, so economics may have something to do with it as well.

What holster do you use for your operator? I have loaded operator and have been trying to find a rig for it for some time now. |

You can use a glock scope mount on the XD...you just have to sand it down a little bit so the slide operates freely. My buddy put a red dot on his tactical 40. Diesel
