I'm thinking of getting a "melt" job for my stainless loaded 1911.  What are the places to get this done?

Just keep in mind, depending on the vintage, some of those parts are not stainless.  Some of those parts you might melt, and doing so will leave exposed metal that will easily rust.  Some of the parts that are commonly melted that would be hard chromed on a loaded model are the thumb safety, the slide stop, the mainspring housing, and possibly the beavertail.
