I really want a BUG/deep cover gun. I held a 642 airweight at Academy and I think i`m in love! How do you people that own one like it? How do you carry yours?

I like my pre-lock 642-1.  I currently carry it in a Galco horsehide pocket holster when I can.

I have a 442 with a Nemesis that I use when the situation warrants. Great carry pistol/setup.

I carry one in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster. Best carry revolver you can buy.

I have a 642 and I am very happy with it.
It is a great carry gun, but not what I would pick for a gun to shoot at the range all the time.
I find it is what I carry most.
Accuracy is good.
It's one of the safest handguns you could carry.
I use a pocket holster most of the time, and belt slide holster sometimes.
God bless,

The j-frame is the best BUG/UCG bar none!  I've carried one every day for the last 20 years and have been glad on several occassions that I had it.

I've carried mine in nearly every possible location.  Thunderwear, hip, pants pocket (front and back), ankle, belly band, shoulder rig, coat pocket and vest holster.  More times than not, it rides in my weak-side pants pocket.

Some may try to talk you in to a Glock or Kel-Tec or some such other semi-auto mumbo-jumbo...in my opinion, go with a j-frame!

ETA another holster I have used.

Well I bought one used locally for $350. Im pretty thrilled to have it . Now I need to buy some ammo and a pocket holster. I definitely see another carry revolver in my future.

I have a 642 with the Desantis holster also.  You are very right about not wanting to spend an afternoon shooting it.  I has a lot of recoil in a small package.

Great gun.

Guns like that work great in the front pocket, non-dominant side.
