Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Diameter of J-frame cylinder???

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the cylinder of a S&W 642 or other j-frame?

I am comparing it to the dimensions of another handgun I am considering for back up CCW.

I just measured a S&W Airlight at 1.330 inches diameter at the cylinder. Charles the Gunsmith.

I think 0.43 inches would make a big difference in pocket carry.

I carry a 442 in my pocket at work daily.  Dockers, slacks, and jeans and it still conceals well.  I'm using a Hume pocket holster, it slows the draw considerably, but breaks up the outline well.
