My agency has recently approved several .45's for patrol use. I am debating over three different choices: Kimber Ten II, H&K USP, and Para-Ordnance LDA 14.45.

I would appriciate any input if you carry any of these for patrol, or if you would not and why ?

Skip the LDA.  The quality control on Paras is generally substandard.

Id prefer the Kimber for the consistant trigger.

I really like my new BP Ten II. Kimber gets my vote. USP 45 would be a VERY close second.

I also like the Kimber the best, with the USP a close second. However, most PD seem to prefer a DA first shot the USP offers. What is your off duty gun? If you are used to carrying a 1911 then I say Kimber, otherwise the USP is a fine choice.
I’d pass on the Para. The LDA always seemed like a solution for a problem that didn’t exist IMO (or to make up for inadequate training). Also I have seen a single action one go FA at the range. Probably a freak occurrence but it turned me off to them.
