She bought hers locally, but you can buy them from Hogue directly.

Thanks for the info...One more question i must ask.....by 21.95 "each" does it mean for the grip set or just one side or something?

It's a one-piece grip, so $21.95 and you'll be set.
Their site is down right now, but I believe Dillon Precision has the same Hogue grip, Colt GM (Finger Grooves) Item #A55-12803, for $17.95. I would call to verify first. Dillon Precision (800)223-4570 |

I went and picked up a mil-tech soft armor holster, and hes getting some hogue grips in later this week. 17.95 is the price, i think ill pick some up. even if i dont like em, its just 18 bucks

A friend of mine is making 1911 grips out of Micarta. Take a look at these and tell me what you think? They feel great, and come in different colors as well.

Love the look, but they are on the spendy side according to your post on the SA list. $50.00, yeouch! Of course they might be worth it. I'd think the deep pattern would be excellent for retention in sweaty, swampy bloody, or otherwise slippery conditions.

Iceman, these are quality grips that could easily go for more $$. I just got back from a IPSC & Glock shoot and everyone loved them. Price some of the exotic wood grips, they range anywhere from $60 - $90. I can guarantee you'll be hearing more about these grips. A pair was just submitted to Comabat Handguns for a review. $55 is a drop in the bucket for a functional aftetmarket accessory for your life saving and/or tourney winning tool. I bought my Kimber before they offered checkering service for the front of the grip. I found some adhesive backed 120 grit black silicon carbide sand paper and installed it around about 2" of the frontstrap and under the grips. It has been there for several years and works great. It matches the black grips but would probably look good with rosewood too.
