If you own a Kimber check your main spring housing. I bought my third Kimber about two weeks ago, fired 500 rds for break in and sighting, did a functions check this morning and noticed a crack in the main spring housing. When I took it a part it had the entire right hand corner bronken off.
The main spring housing appears to be a plastic or synthetic material not SS. I own two other Kimbers and both have metal spring housings.
Sent them an email & photo today. We will see what their customer service is like.
Just though I'd give you guys a heads up to watch yours. Mine felt almost gritty when I pulled the hammer back.

Update 2/13/06: Spoke to a Kimber Rep today. They are sending a replacement housing (another plastic one) I expressed my displeasure with the fact that this $800 pistol contained plastic parts. I could purchase a metal one at an additional cost. I declined and placed an order for a quality metal main spring housing from Wilson Mfg.
