Still learning and reading about 1911's.  Just wanted to ask the pro's before I buy.  Also, I understand this is pretty much a drop in part? Just remove my current mainspring and the Wilson product replaces the entire assembly?

Get me strait if I’m not tracking?

i dont know about the speed chute but i just bought a custom magwell and it fits perfectly with my TLE II except for the grips which i did some of my own work on them

It worked on my custom II so I don't see why it wouldn't work on your Kimber. If I had to do it again, I'd buy the Smith and Alexander.

They fit better, smoother lines, I don't know maybe its just me. I thought the speed chute would be better because if I didn't like it I could take the extended "chute" part off and still have the steel mainspring houseing, which was half the reason for the change. I just couldn't stand the plastic one that came with the gun. The Wilson is narrower then the grips, which I also liked thinking concealability but that extra 1/8" really doesn't mean a whole lot. Maybe after a little custom fitting I will like the Wilson more. I don't know how to post pics, but if you want I can email a few.
