when im assembling my TLE II it is very hard to get the slide release in. i have to use the tip of my kinfe to get the spring depressed so it will slide in. is this normal or am i doing something wrong

LOL....I had just asked about this exact same thing in another thread.  Gotta love this forum.  

I know one of these days I'm going to scratch the hell out of the side of my frame pushing that spring in so that the slide release will seat.

I just took my new Kimber apart for the first time, I also had trouble putting the slide stop back in, I was affraid I would scratch the frame like others I have seen. I put a drop of oil and it went in a lot easier.
