and would the ed brown or wilson combat drop right in or would i have to get any extra stuff or need a gunsmith to install it

Ed Brown or Wilson grip safety are not drop in. I recommand you have a gunsmith do it because it is not that easy.

ya well 1. i wanted to be able to engage the safety easier and grip a little higher on the gun. it looks like those have the little extra grooves on the bottom of the grip safety and 2. i wanted the SS color instead of black to match the trigger, barrel, hammer, and magwell
