Look for a 25th Anniversary Model. They have the original Series I design...but no NS's and such.

Find a used Series I and upgrade the sights. You'll only be spending about $700 - $800, compared to $1050 for a Warrior. I realize there are some subtle differences, like finish, but I'll give you an example. I picked up an old Custom Classic, put on some tritium A/0 24/7 tritium sights, a Wilson Bulletproof Extractor, a Wilson ejector, a GunRunners guide rod and Ed Brown spring plug, a Kings match bushing, and an Ed Brown beavertail. It's a much better gun than the Warrior, and it cost me about $900 after that gun and parts.

Me too, but I wanted to try something different, and the price was cheap. I'll probably switch to Heinies here soon.

I don't understand paying 1K for a 1911 without front strap checkerring, stipling, nothing. seems to me that price is in the cusom zone.
