Sometime last year, IIRC? SS models can still be found from dealers if you have to have one.

I'm not certain when they were discontinued, I've heard different dates. Some say early '05, others say sometime in 2004. I tend to believe it was 2004, because I have never seen a new in box USP stainless sold with high-cap mags. This makes me think they were discontinued, and the remaining pistols were packaged for sale before the sunset of the AWB in Sept. '04.

I thought they just stopped importing them into the US?

They stopped importing the full size in 2001-2002, they stopped production of all stainless USP and USPCs in 2004 if my info is correct.
