just bought an HK USP 9mm fullsize.  might get my CCW in the future.  does anyone carry theirs?  if so, which holster do you use, and what's the best position to hide such a large gun?

I carried a USP45F for 7 years. Sometimes in a Galco SST shoulder rig and sometimes my IWB kydex holster I make. Very concealable. Sometimes I carried my USP45C as well, at the same time.

You just dress for it.

I now pack my Sig P220.

I carried a USPf .45 in a Hellweg holster for 7 yrs. w/out a problem.  I now carry a USP Tac.  If you dress properly, you can hide almost anything.

I used to carry my USP .45 fullsize.  It wasn't too bad.  But then I came across a USPc .40 and now I carry that.

What holster are you using for your .45 Tac, and how do you like it (comments, please). Looking for a new holster rig...

Thanks

I have the same exact gun as you and carry it daily with a paddle holster from Safariland in Carbon Fibe finish- 518. Good holster and great service from them. I get mine wet scraped etc...and yet the finish wont tear so Iam pretty happy with it.  You can check them out and order direct from them at www.holsters.com

Here's a pic of my carry rig. With a sweatshirt, polo, hawaiian print, sweater, or even a loose-fitting tee over it, you can't tell it's there.

I changed the sights to Trijicons made for the USPf and I continue to use my Hellweg holster.  I have no intentions of using a suppressor on this gun, so the  lower sight line isn't a problem.  Unfortunately, the Hellweg holster isn't available anymore.  When it's time for a new rig, I'll probably go with Andrews Hybrid Saddle Holster.  Brian at Hoffners says their Supercomp Concealed Competitor holster will clear the tall sights of the Tac.

I live in Florida and wearing a sweatshirt or anything too bulky will lead to sweating your behind off and standing out even more than just wearing a weapon b/c everyone around you is dressed in a T-shirt or something light.  Im 6'1 180lbs...any additional suggestions?

i tried a fobus, but it just seemed a little too obvious to carry.  i think i'm gonna have to find a good IWB holster.
