Title says it all. Curious to see what variant you USP owners have...
V1 is the only one for me. I have others on the collector pieces but if I am going to shoot it, it must be V1 or I will make it a V1.
I dont know. How do i find out?
Mine is DA/SA with the safety on the right side of the gun. |
all 3 of mine are V1, my new 40c came as a V3 but I swaped the detent out to make it a V1, but the slide is not maked for safe/fire......which is fine with me.
Is it possible to change variants yourself?
I think I like variant 3 because I know I'll confuse the hell outta myself with variant 1, having the safety & decocker to deal with. |
I have a V2 USP9 |
That's a 1. Check this out. Mine's a v1. |
V1 on my 45 Tactical
LEM on my USPc 45 although I do have a V1 conversion for it. Bomber |
Looks like mine is a Variant 2. |

Yes! My bad, I didn't notice you said the safety is on the right side. |

All of mine are config'd variant 9-10 (SA/DA) but, with ambi-safeties. |
V9 USP Tactical and USP Compact, both .45.
I use them cocked and locked, and worry that with a V1, I might decock if I disengage the saftey hard under stress. Also, suppose I remove the saftey and forget, and then try to again, which would also decock. |
I dont have one now but I carried a usp9 for a bit. V1 so I could have the hammer back and on safe.
My USP40f and USP40c are both going to variant 9, just as soon as Numrich manages to send me the RIGHT detent plates. They sent me v3/v4 detent plates the first go 'round.
V1 9c
next one will be a V3 I liked cocked & locked but when I was training my thumb accidentially pressed the safty up, not all the way up just enough so that the pistol did not fire. In the heat of it I would not want that to happen; now I know why Sig does it that way. But I also hate DA |
Try putting your thumb above the safety. It helps you get a "high grip" and you won't have that problem. Recoil is more manageable, etc. |
Just got my parts today and converted a USP 40f and USP 40c both to v9. I'll never look back.
