my reason are 9mm is way cheaper than 45 , the glock obviously conceales better than the hk. glock accesory seem to be much cheaper than the hk. any thought opinions and flames are welcome and appreciated

Cheaper, not much. Not if you shop around and buy ammo in bulk. When Wally world sells 100/45 for $20 and the same amount of 9mm for $15 it is not that big a deal. Shop around and the cost of .45 ammo comes way down.

How does the Glock conceal easier? Are you comparing apples to oranges? There is not that much a size difference between a full size .45 and the 19 and almost no difference between a Compact .45 and the 19. There is not so much a difference as to make one easier to conceal than the other IMO and I have to handle both all day long.

Glock accessories cheaper? How so? Insight M3 $150 (GLock). Insight M2 $155 (HK). Not much of a difference. Anthing that will fit a Glock will also fit an HK if you spend $20 on the rail adapter that CDNN sells. They work great and don't cost an arm and a leg like the GGG and Sidearmor cost. Again, cost difference is insignificant if you do your homework.

Glock mags cheaper than a HK. Cannot argue that and won't even try.

I'd check out a P2k.

Going from a USP .45 to a Glock 19 is sorta like going from a Covette to a Cavalier.

yea i looked at the p2k and found it a hair small for my grip . the bottom of the grip came to about my ring fimger . the p2k was my first thought by the way.

Sounds like you looked at a P2000SK and not a P2000. Basically the same frame, different barrel/slide length, and the length of the grip is longer.

You either have HUGE hands, or you picked up the subcompact model. Older SKs did not have "SK" marked on the slide.

I suggest a USP Compact or a P2000.

As said above, you probably got your hands on a P2000SK, or you have ginormous hands.

Never get rid of GUN A for GUN B unless Gun A is a POS. Save your money and buy the Glock outright. That is the ARF.com way.

BigBore, if you contact JLM from Bowers recommended dealers list he can get you the M3 for about $90 delivered, and replacement bulbs for about a $1 each.

Just get a used Glock 19 for about $300-320 and have both.

I like my 19 but I wouldn't trade my USP for it.

Glocks are a better value than the HK's. Notice I didn't say better gun, just better value. Glock mags are a fraction of the price of HK mags, and many more aftermarket accessories are available. If HK's are qualitatively better, it's not worth the extra cost, in my opinion. Besides, HK ranks right up their with the likes of Colt and S&W -- companies that think they're doing you a favor by selling their products to mere civilians.

Not sure what Hitlery has to do with this! I just don't believe HK's are that much better than Glocks -- not enough to justify the sometimes substantial price increase. HK's are not more accurate, reliable, or durable.

But you're spot on about Hillary though!

they sure do look better though. they don't have the whole "flaccid penis" look that the glocks have. if that's what they were goin for they hit it spot on!

How many of you seen the glock test from bigbore? Hk jammed up, but the 21 keeps on runing.

Normal use buy what you like both the HK ang Glock are well made firearms.

I agree that trading in a HK for a Glock is a step down. You should definitely look into the HK P2000sk. It is very compact well made gun. The LEM trigger is quite impressive as well. I own both HK and Glock, though glock is reliable, I would spend the extra to buy another HK over a Glock anyday.

Personally, I think and HKP2000 SK with the LEM trigger is twice as safe as a Glock. This statement is from someone who has owned the following Glocks:
-G17
-G19
-G21
-G22
-G26
-G27
-G30
-G34
I SOLD all of these glocks at one point or another due to the fact that I did not trust the Glock trigger. I am much happier and feel much safer with the LEM trigger on my P2000SK .40

I would suggest anyone who has not tried the LEM trigger to go do so. The first trigger pull is long which helps to prevent accidental discharge from catching on anything but yet the following shots only require you to release the trigger maybe 1/4 of an inch or less to reset the mechanism.

ALSO!!!! Another reason I switched to this handgun over Glocks.

Glock pistols do NOT have a second strike capability, unless you do not value your life this is an extremely important feature to have on a personal defense pistol!
