I dont believe the current production mags are interchangable.

SOCOM mags will work in a USPf .45/Tactical, but not vice versa.

I agree. I use my Mark 23 mags in my Tactical but not reverse. |

Actually, the mag bodies seem to be the same. Played around with some of mine changing the base pads and all fit flush and functioned as long as the "flat" USPF bases were in place. The SOCOM 12 rounder will fit but not flush. It has a gap between the bottom of the mag well and the top of the plate.
