Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt Python Manufacture Date?

I have a 6" Blue Colt Python that I a traded for in 1976.  The serial number is 373xx, five digit  serial number followed by the letter "E".  If someone knows the date of manufacture, I greatly appreciate the information. Thank you in advance!
