A while back, I ran across a dream gun of mine. It was at the local gun shop/range and I HAD TO HAVE IT.

Colt Detecive Special

My pistol looks nearly like this one here. It is also the 3rd issue with underlug. And blued how.
I have a couple issues to address.

1: I don't know when this pistol was made, is there any way to find out, I have the serial #.

2. It has a couple scratches. Can these be buffed out, or would refinishing be the way to go. Or both?

3. I'm not sure if all of the parts are still in sound condition, or if some spring or lever might break during some shooting session.

Basically I'ed like to send this to someone who could take it apart and clean it out, all the internals (I bet there's 20 years of grit in there) and also see if any of the parts need replacing. Finally someone to remove the scratches and refinish my baby.

Any advice would be greatly appreaciated.
