Why doesn't Hogue make molded Rubber Grips for the ever-popular PPK/S?  Did they ever make such an item?  Should I be combing gunshows looking for an old pair?

Ive never seen them for a PPK/S.  Ive been looking at shows in TX for quite some time.

Hogue never made rubber grips for the PP series.  
Like a number of guns, they listed the Hand-All "Glock sock" type rubber band for the Walther.

The only rubber grip I'm aware of for the Walther is the Pachmayr version.
