Dose anyone know when they started installing  the key safety locks on their revolvers?

Being phased in as older models are sold off, I dont know. But we tried a Millenium key in a PT-100 and it worked so I wonder if all are interchangable. Didn't mean to answer a question with a question, sorry. When I get home from "work", I can check older catalogs to zero in on the time frame.

Looking through various catalogs and magazines, the earliest reference to locking revolvers I have is a '99 Taurus mini hunting catalog. No lock was mentioned in a '98 annual book.
